Job description

TECNALIA is looking for an experienced, skilled and highly motivated Chemical Engineer interested in developing research projects within the Materials and Processes for Energy and Environment Area.

 

Job Description:

  • The successful candidate will design small lab scale test installations, select suppliers of the components, supervise the construction and write the acceptance test and operational procedures.
  • The successful candidatewill develop the process engineering of pilot plants, including process design basis, trade-off of process options and optimization of selected design. This includes conceptual, basic and detailed engineering, selection and purchase of equipment, definition of control strategies.
  • The successful candidate will lead and coordinate the execution of projects at national and International level.
  • The selected candidate will be able to acquire new R&D projects and generate new breakthrough ideas and strategies for business development

Requirements

  • master’s degree in chemical engineeringor similar.
  • At least 5 yearsof experience in design and manufacturing of lab-scale equipments/systems, and process design and manufacturing of pilot plants.
  • Have a good knowledge of chemical engineering processes and related equipment
  • Experience on using process simulation software (e.g. Aspen)
  • Excellent analytical, organizational skills and team player.
  • Proficient in English, at least C1 level or equivalent.
