    1.      Information about the processing of your data

    Purpose of processing your data:

    TECNALIA will process the information that you provide us in order to manage your candidacy for the job offers chosen by you or the offers that arise and that may match your profile if you have sent us your CV. The submitted data will be stored for 2 years or until you exercise your right to cancellation.

     Please do not include in your CV:

    • information related to your health, medical history, etc.,
    • or any information regarding your immunity status against COVID-19,
    • or data regarding your ethnic or racial origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical convictions, union affiliation and others,
    • or any other special category data in accordance with art.9 of the General Data Protection Regulation.

       

       TECNALIA as the recipient of your CV cannot use this information and should proceed to delete it in order to avoid violating  the data protection regulations. This could lead to the destruction of the CV and the elimination of your application from the selection process.

      Permission to process your data

      In this case the legal ground for processing is the interested party’s consent. This means that you (in an informed manner) have authorised us to process your data via a clear informative action. This does not mean that you cannot revoke your authorisation at any time without affecting the actions implemented previously, when you had given your authorisation.

      Please bear in mind that providing all the required data is necessary to ensure optimum provision of the services available to the Candidate. If you do not provide all the data, TECNALIA does not guarantee that the requested information and services will be provided correctly or be adapted to the needs of the candidate.

      The candidate guarantees that the information submitted to TECNALIA is correct and complete, and should be kept updated at all times, exempting TECNALIA of the consequences and damages that the inaccuracy of the data may cause to others and/or third parties. TECNALIA reserves the right to review candidates' data.

       

      Data transfer to third parties

      Data will not be transferred to any third parties except to bodies and institutions required by law.

      TECNALIA can use the services of companies outside of the European area to process data (management of contact information, sending messages, etc.). These may include Microsoft Corporation and Salesforce.com, Inc., with which it works pursuant to express authorisation from the Spanish Data Protection Agency and MailChimp (The Rocket Science Group, LLC) with which it works under the EU-US Privacy Shield agreement.

      Sometimes a data controller for specific areas may also be hired. In these cases the work is governed by an agreement, as required by law, which includes specific clauses regarding data processing and privacy.

       

      Exercising rights

      Everyone has the right to know whether TECNALIA is processing their personal data or not.

       

      You have the right to access your personal data, which implies knowing which elements of your data are being used, the purpose and the period of use, among other information. This also includes the right to request the rectification of data that are inaccurate or incomplete and even to request that the data be cancelled when they are no longer necessary for the purpose for which they were collected.

       

      If your personal data were made public and the data controller is obliged to delete them, you can request that the data controller adopt measures to notify all persons authorised to process the data of your intention to delete the said data (the right to be forgotten).

       

      In some cases you may request that processing be restricted. In this case, the data may be stored to exercise their defence or to make claims. If the limitation of processing is withdrawn, the interested person will be informed of this.

       

      In some situations you may oppose to the processing of your data. This right also includes the possibility to oppose to the creation of profiles (marketing). In these cases, TECNALIA shall stop processing your data, provided that there are no other compelling legitimate grounds or if these data will be used to exercise or defend possible claims.

       

      You have the right to receive the data provided to the data controller to whom they correspond or to have these data transferred to another data controller.

       

      The interested parties have the right to file a claim before the control authority.

       

      In some circumstances the compliance of these rights by the data controller may be subject to other laws in force that affect how the rights will be applied.

      You may exercise your rights by sending a letter to TECNALIA, Parque Tecnológico y Científico de Bizkaia, c\ Geldo #700, Derio, C.P.48160; or by sending an email to info@tecnalia.com. In both cases, the candidate should also send a copy of their national identity document or passport or other valid identification document.

       

      2.      Consent for processing

      The candidate gives their express consent to have their personal data processed for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy; including the transfer of personal data to other companies within the TECNALIA group.

       
      3.      Prohibition for minors

      The services offered by TECNALIA are aimed at persons of legal age. The candidate acknowledges that they are of legal age. Otherwise, we urge the candidate not to apply to any job offers or send us their CV. In any case, your data will not be considered for the offers to which you have applied and will be deleted from the system once this circumstance is detected.

      4.      Obligations of the candidate

      The candidate undertakes to ensure that the submitted data is true and accurate and to keep them updated. They take on the obligation of informing TECNALIA of any modification thereto.

      The candidate is responsible for the personal data of third parties that they submit to TECNALIA’s files. In this regard, candidates should obtain prior and express consent from the third party and inform them of the terms in this Privacy Policy. The candidate is obligated to hold TECNALIA harmless in the event of any claim, fine or sanction that they may be obligated to incur as a consequence of the breach by the candidate of the duty described herein.

      The candidate is also obligated to hold TECNALIA harmless in the event of any claim, fine or sanction that they may be obligated to incur as a consequence of the breach of this Privacy Policy by the candidate.

      5.      Intellectual and industrial property

      All the contents of this website, which is understood to include but is not restricted to, texts, photographs, graphics, images, icons, technology, software links and other audiovisual or sound contents, in addition to the graphic design and source code (hereinafter, the ‘Contents’), are the intellectual property of TECNALIA or the group companies. The candidate is not understood to be granted any exploitation rights recognised by the current regulation on intellectual property regarding the said Contents, except rights that are strictly necessary for the use of this employment service.

      Trade marks, trade names or distinguishing marks are property of TECNALIA or the group companies, access to this employment service does not grant any right regarding the said trade marks, trade names and/or distinguishing marks

      6.      Security

      TECNALIA maintains the personal data protection security levels in accordance with current legislation.

      7.      Modification of this Privacy Policy

      TECNALIA reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy to adapt to future legislative or case law changes, as well as changes in practices of the industry.
